Sleipner SX50 12V (discontinued): specs, manual and parts
The Sleipner SX50 12V is an external thruster. It mounts on the outside of the hull. Sleipner has discontinued it. Its own product page said so when we read it on 11 October 2026.
This page stays up for the owners still running one. It holds the published figures, the part numbers and the manual. You will not find the unit in the thruster finder, the tool here that matches a unit to your boat, or on the compare page. If you need a new thruster, start with either of those.

Service parts

What the manual and listings say
The 12 V SX50 as first sold, before Sleipner added a separate controller unit. It bolts to the outside of the hull through three small holes below the waterline, so the boat comes out of the water to fit it.
It came as a pod for the bow or stern, and as a stern unit for a hull up to 50 mm or up to 150 mm thick without glass work. Sleipner rates it 62 kg (137 lb) at 12 V and 50 kg (110 lb) at 10.5 V. Its replacement is the same model sold with the controller unit.
